Ontario Permit was founded by Hesam Akbari, a licensed Professional Engineer, after years of watching homeowners and contractors struggle unnecessarily with the permit process. Incomplete applications, missed zoning issues, and endless back-and-forth with city building departments were costing people time, money, and sleep — and it didn't have to be that way.

We built Ontario Permit to be the expert partner that every GTA property owner deserves. With a Master of Applied Science in structural engineering and over 15 years of hands-on experience across the GTA, Hesam leads all technical work and signs every engineer-stamped drawing. He personally reviews every application before submission to ensure complete compliance with the Ontario Building Code and applicable zoning bylaws.
